Hey Friends!!! It’s Friday!!!! For us this is a happy day but also a sad day. It’s sad because if you’ve been following me for a year now, then you know this time last year we lost the heart of our farm. Brody’s Grandfather, Preston past away this day a year ago.
This year has been a tough one for Bro. He’s been missing his best friend like crazy. The crops weren’t as good as they were the year before, he’s been doing most everything on his own and the stress of not getting things done in time seems to be the theme this year. But with that being said, a lot has changed. Brody decided to grow a new crop (cotton) and it’s been a super dry year until this summer and then it finally rained. [Praying this is a way better crop year] He had to go up North for custom stripping, He bought a new tractor and we had a baby. So I would say he’s definitely doing his best. What else can you ask for?
I will say, I’m really excited to see where God is taking Brody and the farm. I know what needs to grow but I can’t see how it will happen. This is so exciting for me! I’ve seen God work like crazy this year for Bro. I’ve watched him completely shut a door to a huge opportunity and it devastate both of us to the point where we couldn’t see a light to the end. Then he answered the why a few months later and it was super clear why He did the things he did. I’ve always grown up knowing God won’t let us fall and that He’s always walking before us. It’s been such a true thing in this season.
Well there’s your farm update and your encouraging word of the day. Hope you all have a great day!
