Hey Mom Friends! This post is for you!
I’m just putting this out there because it’s what this post is about but I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding Benton. I wanted to do it with B but with stress over her feet (she was pigeon toed) and going back to work after 6 weeks, she ditched me. So it was a goal of mine to try and breastfeed Benton for as long as I could. He’s almost 5 months and we are still going strong! Whoop whoop! But don’t let that fool you because there has been a few times I didn’t drink enough water or eat enough calories and I was starving him! This kid won’t take a bottle so it’s important that I don’t run out.
Back in August I saw a blogger I follow in Instagram post about a company out of Dallas who sale Miracle Milk Cookies and if you know me then you know I love me a good cookie! So I bought some and they were good!!! But it took 3 days to get out to my house and I got 12 cookies, 2 per day. After our trip to Fort Worth the first of September I was empty! I had to do something! I text my mom and asked her to go buy some brewers yeast and asked if she would help me bake these. Hint… I don’t make things from scratch! So she came and we made (what I think is the same recipe as the Miracle Milk Cookies) and ended up making 2 dozen! And because I love y’all and know the feeling of being empty, I’m going to share this with you!!!!

Ingredients:
-
2 Tbsp. flaxseed meal {or linseed can be used}
-
4 Tbsp. water
-
1 cup butter, softened
-
1 cup white sugar
-
1 cup brown sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
1 tsp. vanilla
-
2 cups all purpose flour (Note: I’ve also used self-rising flour for this recipe, if you use self-rising flour do not add baking soda or salt to the recipe)
-
1 tsp. baking soda
-
1 tsp. salt
-
2-6 Tbsp. Brewer’s Yeast {This is the active ingredient, so the more the better. I used about 3 Tbsp. and it worked great!}
